Since the early 1970's, Cahill Associates has pioneered the use and application of GIS technologies for environmental analysis. From Lake Erie to the Atlantic Coast, GIS has provided a critical took in every watershed study and site design.
The GIS department at Cahill Associates is proficient in the ESRI suite of GIS software, particularly the newly released ArcGIS version 8.3, both ArcInfo Workstation and ArcView Desktop. GIS staff uses advanced software extensions for both ArcView and ArcGIS, especially 3D Analyst and Spatial Analyst. CA GIS programming staff are continually refining and updating the Water Balance Model, a GIS model that analyzes the effects of existing land use and zoning on the hydrologic system of a watershed.
